Steps to learning Ollie trick tip
This is a good trick to start stationary. When you get more comfortable with the trick, than you can start moving. 1) Start wih your back foot on the tail of your skateboard, and your front foot roughly in the middle of your board. (You can have your front foot slightly tilted if that is more comfortable. 2) Puh your tail of the board down hard on the ground and jump. This will send your board into the air. 3) Slide your front foot the the front tuck bolts, and your back foot to the back truck bolts. Push your knees into your chest to level up your ollie. 4) As you land, straighten your knees to place the board on the ground. Bend your knees again to take in the landing impact. Work on this trick hard. This is the starting trick to most of the other harder tricks.
Ollie Problems and Solutions
Always lean towards your front shoulder. If you find your board is shooting forward hen you land, you are not leaning forward. Practise the 'pop'. (the jump) If your board does not leave the ground, you are not jumping quick enough, or you are not snapping your board down hard enough. This just takes a bit of practise!
