Varial Flips and Body Varials
The History of the Twisted Flip
Also known as an Asian Flip.
Steps to learning Twisted Flip trick tip
1: Start in the grass or rolling kinda slow, cause you will fall the first few times.
2: Set up as if you are doing a varial flip, maybe with your front foot a bit farther forward.
3: Get a nice pop and start your varial flip. As you get the board spinning with your back foot, bring it up a little farther than usual and spin your body the oppisite way(Frontside).
4: This is the hard part, the landing...Once your body is turned, its really hard to spot the griptape, but if your consistant with your varial flips you will know where to stomp your feet down. It also helps a to hop a bit to the backside.
5: Make sure your over the board and make sure your feet are over the bolts, if your weight isn't balenced out your board will loop out from under you and you will go down fast, trust me. Stick it and roll away.
Twisted Flip Problems and Solutions
The board rotates more than 180", Its because you are focusing on the body varial and your kicking off with your foot so you can spin, and the board spins farther than you want, just worry about the varial flip, do as you normally would and it will come"I keep looping out and my ass hurts", well its hard to land at first, just keep trying and get your weight balanced evenly.
