The Sweatshop Skate Park Bio
The Sweatshop is an indoor street/skate park located in East Vancouver on Hastings. The web site is www.skatethesweat shop.com you can also see our group on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/group.php? gid=6333333849 We opened on March 1st 2008 and have a five year lease on the 7,000 sq foot warehouse that includes the indoor skatepark - retail store and art gallery. The park includes many ramps and street obstacles and is intended for PROs and amateurs. The park doubles as an event space for bands, deejays, special events and contests. The Sweatshop has a history in Vancouver with our last address being 1820 Pandora. In total we have hosted over 50 events related to skateboarding, art, music and lifestyle, some of which include: SKATE FOR CANCER - End of tour event
