A British adventurer becomes the first person to skateboard across Australia. David Cornthwaite has completed his 3,600-mile journey in Brisbane on Monday Jan 22 2007. He is now the long distance skateboard champ. He passed Jack Smith's record of 3000 miles across the US in 2003.
He started in Perth in August 2006 and took him 5 months to complete a 3,600 mile skate session. David raised he £15,000 for charity! What a nice guy. A little about David he is 27 and is a graphic designer, and only started skateboarding less than two years ago. During the session David went through 13 pairs of shoes, tubes of sunscreen, created a giant calf mussel, huge blisters, all in tempatures that reached 40 degrees.
Good for you man! Makes he look bad when I'm tired of skating 4 blocks. hardy har har.
