Hell ya I'm talking about the band Poison. Bret Micheals, well you can say that it is pretty much Poison, played at Cowboys on Wednesday Novemer 8th. Carson Cole was the opening act and wasn't that worth it to see. The bass player and drummer weren't even old enough to be in a bar anywhere. It was cool to see some little kids rock out, also the Sweet Home Alabama cover was good too. Okay as for Poison they were fuckin awesome. Who thought that a guy who dresses pretty lame could still rock like it was the '80s. The coolest part of the show was that the tour is an intimate tour, meaning being up close and pesonal than anyone could ever get to Poison back in the day. I would say that this show was Poison in a punk rock atmosphere, despite the fact that it was at Cowboys. Bret worked the crowd like it was 20,000 people by rockin, high fivin' and even holding the microphone in the crowd to let the fans belt out some lyrics. Of course they played all the hits like, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Talk Dirty To Me, Nothin But A Good Time, Unskinny Bop, Fallen Angel, plus more and some original new stuff that he has written since Poison The worst part of the show was $5.50 beer. The best part was hearing all the good tunes that i haven't heard in such a long time that makes me want to grow a mullet and start a Glam Rock cover band. We met the guitar player and drummer, but we waited for Bret to come out but i think he had some ladies to attend to on his tour bus. I heard Bret was here last year or two years ago and i am disapointed now that i missed it, but if he comes back I can say that can say that i will be in attendance. Travis took a bunch of pics.
