Was amazing and long. Me and a couple friends left from Edmonton at 7:30 in the morning to try to catch the first bands. Never happened. 9:30 cracked first beers and had many pee breaks along the way. And the half hour / hour traffic jam to get into the speedway is terrible. We cheated a bit by going up to the intersection that you have to turn right at and sneeking are way in there. All while are blatters are about to explode.

We got in the gates parked a mile away and headed over to the ticket line. Bought some for 60 bucks which seems a little expensive but well worth it. Got over to the band schedule thing and discovered I missed Rufio a band I really like. There first cd kills.

First band we seen was silverstein, we seen them in Edmonton the night before at star-lite for 18 bucks that was a rip off because we got there to see Emery's last 2 songs and then silverstein played it felt like we were there for a half hour.

Anyways the best thing that happened that day is CHOKE played I never knew they would be but that show made my day. Other bands we seen senses fail, boys night out, strung out, drop kick murphys, and a couple others.

There was a lot of bands I wanted to see that I never heard of but its so hard to see them all. Plus we had to spend some time in the beer gardens. Paying 5 bucks for a warm beer pissed me right off. How hard is it to get some tubs of ice.

Things they should change:
  • To early they should have it later and let it go into the night so we all don't die of heat stroke.
  • Have cold beer.
  • Have some where to wash, I hate being super dirty.
  • Lay down some tarps in front of the stages so they would have dust free mosh pits.
  • Have more picnic tables everywhere.
  • Put the beer gardens in the middle of the event.
  • Last but not least make it a 3 or 2 day event so we can camp and see all the bands.
Best thing to happen = choke played
Worst thing = Missed Rufio

I still had an awesome time and will be back next year.
