Whats up with all the Religious crap in skateboarding

Ok it might just be me but what's up with all the religion in skateboarding today. For example in Edmonton you have indoor parks that are sponsored by church groups or what not. They talk about getting the kids off the streets and stuff like that.

The thing is skateboarders are not labeled like that these days so are they just cashing in or what? Don't get me wrong I like what theyâ€™re doing at least there is somewhere to skate in the winter but thatâ€™s time for snow skates and snowboarding anyway.

So are they trying to turn kids to religion or what? Everyone has there own opinion of religion but in my mind it just gives people beliefs in a book the bible, that was wrote hundreds of years ago. With so many religions and people believing in different things what can come of this, nothing good.

For the second time I have had church groups come to my house and read me out paragraphs out of the bible. They do this door to door. I just go with it to be nice but what Iâ€™m really thinking is why should I read this book that was wrote so long ago. Did they know about all the cold wars and world wars and tragedies that we have learned been through and learned?

Ok I'm starting to rant on I'm really tired, had some drinks, and lost at a poker game Why I posted this blog is, I was updating some stuff on the site and I click on muska woods skateboard camp. It sounds amazing I wish I could go, but then I went to the about page and read that they were a Christian group. I started to piece things together and I'm wondering.

What is it will all the religious people sponsoring these skateboard parks and camps?

I also want to know how good this skateboard camp really is?

Sorry if this offends anybody but I would like to know your thoughts and please told preach and bible jumbo I don't listen to it. Why am I doing this I'm going to bed.
